how to start a body paragraph for an essay outline template

Each main idea that you wrote down in your diagram or outline will become one of the body paragraphs. If you had three or four main ideas, you will have three or four body paragraphs.
In the body of the essay, all the preparation up to this point comes to fruition. The topic you have chosen must now be explained, described, or argued.

How to start a body paragraph for an essay outline template
You have to pay attention to structure because the body paragraph outline will vary widely, depending on the different essay types, disciplines, and other aspects. Thus, it is important to write the main part following a logical path. You can conduct research and read our advice on how to write a rough draft for an essay.
The structure can vary depending on the length and the main idea of the text. A thesis means one short finished idea that an author wants to tell the reader. This is in contrast to examples, arguments, and evidence being used to prove the thesis. How do you find decent evidence? It can be anything like a situation from real life, an academic’s opinion, and/or news or facts that were proven by science.

How to start a body paragraph for an essay outline template
a) Write a topic sentence (another argument for your thesis)
b) Support this argument: data, facts, examples
c) Explain how they relate to your thesis
As a rule, students use the linear style when formatting their essay outlines. It means they rank arguments in order of their importance – from major to minor ones.

  • like labels. They appear in the first sentence of the paragraph and tell your reader what’s inside the paragraph.
  • arguable. They’re not statements of fact; they’re debatable points that you prove with evidence.
  • focused. Make a specific point in each paragraph and then prove that point.
  1. Summarizes the argument. Some instructors expect you not to say anything new in your conclusion. They just want you to restate your main points. Especially if you’ve made a long and complicated argument, it’s useful to restate your main points for your reader by the time you’ve gotten to your conclusion. If you opt to do so, keep in mind that you should use different language than you used in your introduction and your body paragraphs. The introduction and conclusion shouldn’t be the same.
  2. Explains the significance of the argument. Some instructors want you to avoid restating your main points; they instead want you to explain your argument’s significance. In other words, they want you to answer the “so what” question by giving your reader a clearer sense of why your argument matters.
    • For example, your argument might be significant to studies of a certain time period.
    • Alternately, it might be significant to a certain geographical region.
    • Alternately still, it might influence how your readers think about the future. You might even opt to speculate about the future and/or call your readers to action in your conclusion.

College or university education is very competitive in modern society due to increasing challenges in life. Nearly all students, parents, and countries are struggling to ensure that they improve quality and quantity of human resources at respective levels of development.

College tuition fees have been on the rise in the last couple of years. Now many jobs require a college degree which makes it hard for those without higher education. The higher somebody goes in their education the easier it is to get almost any job they want. College education has become a necessity in today’s society and rising tuition fees are putting a college education out of reach for some students. The first two years of college should be provided and funded by the U.S. government because it will encourage students to achieve their college education without looking at college as such a financial obstacle.
Today’s society more and more jobs are requiring specific technical requirements or a college degree. Free college would expand higher educational benefits such as jobs and higher pay as opposed to those with little to no college background. Recovery magazine believes “By 2020, 65 percent of all jobs in the economy will require post-secondary education and training beyond high school.” (Carnavale, Smith, Strohl. pg 3) free college tuition will give so many students an equal opportunity to achieve their goals no matter if it’s just an associates degree or a doctoral degree. Achieving a college degree can not only be a life long achievement but can better their future and open doors to better job opportunities.

Free education is beneficial to all. High prices in turn keep all but the elite few out of the education system, widening other forms of oppression. Graduating with high amounts of student loan debt has been shown to reduce a person’s chances of owning a home, getting married, having children, and accumulating wealth. If people weren’t forced to start off in debt or stay stuck in a low-wage job due to lack of education, they would be more likely to pursue their talents and the things they’re good at, in turn achieving the lives they ultimately want. That could lead to happier people. And happier people could lead to a happier, more prosperous nation as a whole Technically, free college isn’t really free, taxpayers do end up having to pay for it in some capacity. But some economists believe that every American who wants to could go to college for free if the federal and state governments made a few reasonable changes. First off, we could close corporate tax loopholes that allow companies to legally avoid paying their full share of taxes and crack down on wasteful government spending. As well, increasing the tax rates for America’s wealthiest millionaires and billionaires would aid in free college tuition. We could decrease the budget in other areas, such as the military.

Despite the concern about the increasing cost of higher education, most individuals believe that if a student want to get an education there are modes to make that happen. Such a student will have to make compromises like attending to a school that is less expensive or going to part time jobs, but if motivation is less education is within reach. If an individual really wants to go to a university, one can get a way of paying to it, even if one has to go to school and still work. Many individuals also feel and see that financial help is available, particular to a student who has the will to take or borrow money, which is loan. Almost anyone who requires financial assistance to enroll to a college can get financial help or loans. Community colleges are seen to be less expensive hence many people attend this colleges for like two years so that they can save and go to a n expensive college with the money the individual saved for the rest of the other two years. One will acquire a degree without even indicating that one once attended a community college. This position is valid when looking at this issue because if an individual really want to go to a college he or she will work or do what he or she can to enroll. He or she can borrow loans or even do part time jobs so that he or she can get a chance of attending a college no matter the expenses,(Langwith, 2009).

United States has seen major developments in every field, may it be technology, medicine, movies, and many more; however, one field that still needs a major revolution is Education. It is a harsh truth that education comes with a price; and U.S. is reputed as one of the costly nation to attend school. So, are the education costs decreasing the graduation percentage? I believe, the key contributor is the nationwide increase in the tuition costs that is resulting in the decrease of graduates, as the students are unable to meet the expense of the tuition costs imposed by the schools, colleges and universities.
I believe that college tuition must be affordable for one and all, and for all economic levels of the society. Starting from the kids till the adults, everyone from every corner of the nation likes to go to the college. Should the colleges close their doors on the people who cannot afford the fees? Many people initially begin with the community colleges after leaving high school because these colleges are very cheaper. Few people do not start college after high school as they want to work and save to attend a good college. These are a few examples to voice out why the cost of college tuition must be lowered?
In 2007 the average tuition and fees at four-year public colleges rose 6.6 percent, and four-year private college rose 6.3 percent bettering growths in economic aid and forcing students into loans, and community colleges once again did not increase the prices . Are people more in need of community colleges? Are the other colleges really worth the money they take?
In my opinion the college tuition must be lowered to reduce the debt on students who opt for loans to meet the tuition fees. Increase in crime rates can directly be accounted with the increase in college tuition. The colleges can see an increase in enrollment when equal opportunities are provided to all the students irrespective of their family economic background. Can the lower income families raise their social status with the increase in college tuition? If the college tuition is not lowered, then people from lower income families will never be able to increase their social status, as they would not get any good opportunities. If college tuition keeps rising every year, it is possible that the lower and middle class families will stop sending their children to college.
The increased financial aid costs or lowering the tuition fees, both mean that less money will be available to spend on the academic functions of the university . Why the students should be penalized by increasing the tuition fee for the academic functions? Though there are Financial Aid and grants, I believe the students must be spared of the tuition fees as it is every student’s human right to get quality education. Do these universities also offer tuition discounts? In the past 20 years, private universities have provided tuition discounting, resulting in an increase in average list price. In 1993, the discount rate at private universities was approximately 25%; ten years later it reached 32%, which means that list-price tuition increased by 30%, but the discount value remained the same .
As stated by , financial aid programs can be simplified so that students can make better choices earlier in the application process, to reduce their loan burden later. Solving the affordability issues requires strong policies that gets ahead of tampering with the higher education programs. In my opinion, the colleges can lower the tuition fees by dual enrollment; in community college and a four year higher education degree in public universities, or by establishing a three year bachelor’s program, increase teacher workload, and finally move the classes online.

Give people odd song titles as their Table Topics. It doesn’t matter if they know nothing about the song… in fact, it may be better if they know nothing but the title.

There are no set rules for choosing a subject. In its simplest, this can be a set of random questions that each speaker just needs to answer and elaborate on. This is acceptable as a beginning Table Topics Master. In time, as you evolve as a speaker, so should the subjects you select. Keep in mind that these do not have to be in a question-and-answer format. You can ask the speaker to act out scenes or situations. Some clubs use the Table Topics to concentrate on eliminating crutch words in their speech.
A typical Toastmaster club meeting can be broken into two sections. The prepared speech where a member goes through a series of planned speeches. Then there is the Table Topics section.

A great Table Topic is always very inspiring. After evaluating speeches, I have to say that Table Topics are my next favourite thing about Toastmasters. It amazes me how each person that participates runs with the given topic. Other times, you can see an evolution or some sort of collective thought as each speaker’s words or cadence influences the next.
Here is a Table Topic I created for my first time as Table Topics Master at Creatively Speaking. I was inspired by animal related sayings, and wanted to give speakers a variety of subject matter to work with. Please use this Table Topics idea for your next meeting and let me know how it goes!

As marketing is such an important and changing sphere of the modern world, it is also the subject of intense research. That’s good news: you will have plenty of data if you decide to write a research paper on marketing. The bad news: there can be too much data. The world of marketing now is overloaded with new approaches, researches, and suggestions, the race of marketologists against the new technologies and markets never stops. The NewMR blog, curated by Ray Poynter and Sue York, has been a long time staple of the research industry. Posts cover a range of topics, but often include an aspect of innovation or future thinking. Analogies, observations and personal experience make up a good portion of the posts on NewMR, providing a fresh perspective; one that is not always favourable to the latest trends, but always provides a great starting point for discussions.
It would be an understatement to say that the scope of the Vision Critical blog is vast. However, the main focus of posts over the past year has been around a topic that receives less attention than it deserves in the research industry — customer experience. From whitepapers and webinars to event summaries and opinions from client-side marketers, the Vision Critical blog is a goldmine of advice on how to improve customer experience through insight. In fact, it would probably be fair to say the audience of this blog is the marketing community, more so than research professionals, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t a ton of information there that we can all learn from.

According to the APA citation guidelines, you should write down the last name of the author(s) and the year of publication. When quoting a source it is also required to include the page number(s). This can be done in multiple ways:
When the source is published by an organization instead of a person, cite the organization’s name as the author.

How? Instead of writing down all authors’ last names, write only the last name of the first author, followed by “et al.,” which means “and others.”

You may also be required to provide a full bibliography. The difference between a bibliography and a reference page is that a reference page only cites the sources which are used directly in the paper, or those that are cited with in-text citations. buddhism and hinduism follow the caste system

buddhism and hinduism follow the caste system

Brahmanism, the predominant religion in India during the Buddha’s time, divided all humans into four castes (attu vanna), priests, warriors, traders and labourers. Social contact between each caste was minimal and the lower one’s position in the system the less opportunities, the less freedom and the less rights one had. Outside the caste system were the outcasts (sudra) people considered so impure that they hardly counted as humans. The caste system was later absorbed into Hinduism, given religious sanction and legitimacy and has continued to function right up till the present. The Buddha, himself born into the warrior caste, was a severe critic of the caste system. He ridiculed the priests claims to be superior, he criticised the theological basis of the system and he welcomed into the Sangha people of all castes, including outcasts. His most famous saying on the subject is : ” Birth does not make one a priest or an outcaste. Behaviour makes one either a priest or an outcaste”. Even during the time when Buddhism was decaying in India and Tantrayana had adopted many aspects of Hinduism, it continued to welcome all castes and some of the greatest Tantric adepts were low castes or outcastes.
Despite this, various forms of the caste system are practised in several Buddhist countries, mainly in Sri Lanka, Tibet, and Japan where butchers, leather and metal workers and janitors are sometimes regarded as being impure. However, the system in these countries has never been either as severe or as rigid as the Hindu system and fortunately it is now beginning to fade away. The exception to this is Nepal where Tantric priests form a separate caste and will neither initiate into their priesthood or allow into their temples those of other castes.

Buddhism and hinduism follow the caste system
Though the Buddhists remain optimistic that this will happen, some are skeptical. It is legitimate in India for the government to remove temples and shrines, even Hindu ones, for infrastructure projects, and, according to Giresh Gupta, an author and guide living in Ahmedabad, the replacement will never come.
The temple consists of a small courtyard with a flimsy bamboo shelter built around a painted statue of the Buddha. But it is sacred to the hundreds of Buddhists whose parents converted to the faith from Hinduism decades ago.

Buddhism and hinduism follow the caste system
A woman participates in a conversion ceremony in India (Krithika Varagur)
Both the RSS and the Ambedkarite Buddhist movement arose from, and are still based in, Nagpur. Nowadays in that city, RSS members in their signature black, boat-shaped “Gandhi caps” share the streets with robed Ambedkarite monks. The RSS includes a dedicated group for outreach to Dalit Buddhists. The group’s president claimed last year that it has no political agenda, but mainstream Ambedkarites say that it actually pushes the controversial notion that Buddhism is a sect of Hinduism in a bid to win Dalit Buddhist votes for the BJP.

Another means of rejecting the social order, which forms the background for significant portions of Hindu belief and practice, is renunciation (self-denial and asceticism). The rituals of sannyasa, which serve as a gateway to a life of religious discipline, often mimic death rituals, signifying the renouncer’s understanding that he (or, less typically, she) no longer occupies a place in family or society. Other rituals serve to induct the initiate into a new family—the alternative family provided by a celibate religious order, usually focused on a guru. In principle this family should not be structured along the lines of caste, and the initiate should pledge to renounce dietary restrictions. In practice, however, some dietary restrictions remain in India’s most influential renunciant communities (though not in all), and some renunciant orders are closely paired with specific communities of householders. This follows a pattern that is loosely present everywhere. Householders and renunciants offer each other mutual benefits, with the former dispensing material substance to the theoretically propertyless holy men and women while the latter dispense religious merit and spiritual guidance in return. Such an enactment of the values of dharma and moksha is symbiotic to be sure, but that does not serve to domesticate renunciants entirely. Their existence questions the ultimacy of anything tied to caste, hierarchy, and bodily well-being.
Vaishnavism emphasizes their character as an introduction to a life of devotion and as an entrance into closer contact with God, although happiness, knowledge, a long life, and a prospect of freedom from karma are also among the ideals to which they aspire. Shaivas are convinced of the absolute necessity of initiation for anyone desiring final liberation and require an initiation in accordance with their rituals. All communities agree that the authority to initiate belongs only to a qualified spiritual guide (guru), usually a Brahman, who has previously received the special guru-diksha (initiation as a teacher) and is often regarded as representing God himself. The postulant is sometimes given instruction in the esoteric meaning of the scriptures. The initiate receives a devotional name and is given the sacred mantras of the community.

Many scoring factors change depending on student writing level, including sentence complexity, syntax, and essay length. The right paper grader should be able to score writing just like a talented teacher would for the grade they teach. Let’s dive in to why this is necessary.
If you ever had a strict writing teacher when you were in school, you probably remember the frustration of doing your absolute best on a paper and receiving a low grade.

Paper grader
To ensure that teachers can respond to the formative feedback available, student assessments and other assignments must be scored promptly. That is why so many teachers rely on some type of paper grader app, software, or other paper grading system. Depending on the level of flexibility and functionality, this can greatly speed up the grading process. It is not uncommon for these test grader systems to involve pre-printed bubble sheets that allow teachers to use basic multiple choice or true/false question types that students can answer. These answer forms can be scanned by a special document camera or other scanning device that can fairly speedily score the correct responses. This expedites the time it takes for teachers to grade papers, but that is where the benefits tend to stop.
GradeCam doesn’t stop there, though. It is also capable of tracking existing and custom standards, generating a variety of flexible data reports, and automatically recording grades in any digital gradebook with the touch of a button. (Literally, transferring an entire class of grades only requires a single key stroke.) Using GradeCam’s Student Portal, students are even able to grade their own papers as they complete their tests for immediate feedback. Of course, the teacher is able to choose whether students are able to view their missed questions or simply their final scores. But the fact that paper grading for an entire class of students could be completed the moment the last assessment is turned in – without the teacher ever touching them – is a pretty remarkable feat to witness.

Reading analytical essay examples can also give you a better sense of how to structure your essay and what to include in it.
Your analytical essay will typically have three or four body paragraphs, each covering a different point of analysis. Begin each body paragraph with a sentence that sets up the main point you’ll be discussing. Then you’ll give some analysis on that point, backing it up with evidence to support your claim. Continue analyzing and giving evidence for your analysis until you’re out of strong points for the topic. At the end of each body paragraph, you may choose to have a transition sentence that sets up what the next paragraph will be about, but this isn’t required. Body paragraphs will include:

Sample body for a professional paper:

Put two spaces after the period for each sentence in the body of the paper (Note, use only one space after a period in your references at the end of the paper). Microsoft Word does not have a setting to automatically put in two spaces at the end of a sentence, but you can set-up the grammar check to alert you when only one space is used. In Word 2007, click on File, then click Options. Next, click on Proofing. Under When correcting spelling and grammar in Word, click on Settings. Next to Spaces required between sentences, change the setting to 2. Click OK to exit. This setting will alert you to single spaces after a period with the green squiggle that shows when there is a grammar error in your paper.
Use double-spacing throughout the entire paper. To add double-spacing in Microsoft Word, highlight all the text you want double-spaced, then click on Page Layout. Next to the word Paragraph click on the arrow. Under Spacing, Line Spacing, select Double and then click OK.
